The GEO 700 A is a compact drilling rig designed for water well and geothermal drilling. It delivers up to 15 tons of retract force and supports both direct mud rotary and DTH (down-the-hole) drilling methods. The rig can be outfitted with a wide range of accessories that enhance drilling efficiency, streamline rod recovery, and support effective treatment of waste drilling fluids. The GEO 700 A represents a significant step forward in the automation of equipment handling, contributing to improved operator safety and overall site health. At the heart of the machine is an advanced automatic pipe handling system, featuring a rod rack and a side-mounted loader arm. This arm retrieves rods directly from the rack, which can accommodate up to 200 meters of total rod length. Additionally, the same arm can access an almost unlimited number of rods from an external trestle positioned beside the rig. Together, these features deliver increased safety and operational efficiency—requiring fewer personnel, enabling faster setup, and reducing mobilization costs.
