The CHF 900 is a dedicated rig for CFA drilling. Like all Comacchio CH and CHF machines, the CHF 900 has been designed to be self-erecting, it can be transported in one piece, minimizing the need to disassemble some machine parts in transport configuration, and therefore allows quick and easy rig-up, supported by automated rig-up systems. The extremely lightweight construction is the result of a careful selection of all materials and the use of high-strength light steels and highly specialized mechanical processing. The use of the parallelogram articulation allows to reach a large working radius. The mast is equipped with a 4th line pull system that allows for the construction of CFA piles up to 32.5 m deep, using 27 m long augers and auger extension. The rotary head was developed for CFA drilling and is capable of reaching 256 kNm of actual torque (280 kNm nominal torque) and a speed of 40 rpm. It can also be equipped with an optional 150 kN pull down winch. The CFA configuration is completed by numerous accessories such as the auger guide and the auger cleaner (roller, brush or star-type).
