The GEO 909 GT is the flagship of the Comacchio range of geothermal drilling rigs. Its concept has taken jobsite automation and safety to a new level, totally eliminating the manual handling of the drilling equipment required for the installation of geothermal heat loops. The double head system, designed for simultaneous drilling and casing, not only stabilizes the borehole, but allows to drill safer and faster, improving spoils handling (thus reducing environmental impacts). It also helps preserve groundwater resources, preventing aquifer cross-contamination.
