MC 14 GT

The MC 14 GT is a compact and highly versatile drilling rig specifically developed for geothermal drilling applications in uneven and sloping terrain conditions.

Derived from Comacchio’s articulated micropile drilling rigs, the MC 14 GT combines the advantages of a dual-head geothermal drilling system with an advanced mast articulation concept designed to ensure precise rig positioning even on uneven surfaces and slopes commonly encountered in mountainous residential environments, while maintaining accurate vertical drilling alignment. A distinctive feature of the MC 14 GT is the Comacchio patented undercarriage system which, combined with the mast articulation geometry, allows the rig to maintain a compact footprint and operate safely and efficiently in confined spaces and on irregular terrain. The rig is equipped as standard with a Comacchio dual-head drilling system enabling simultaneous drilling and casing advancement, improving productivity and ensuring continuous borehole support in unstable ground conditions. This drilling methodology also contributes to groundwater protection by preventing hydraulic connectivity between different geological layers. To further reduce the environmental impact of drilling operations, the MC 14 GT features an integrated diverter and cuttings management system designed to ensure cleaner job sites and controlled spoil handling. For enhanced operator protection and improved manoeuvrability in confined environments, the MC 14 GT is supplied with the Comacchio radio remote control system allowing remote management of all machine functions.
