MC 28 HD

The MC 28 HD is a heavy-duty evolution of the MC 28, featuring a reinforced crawler chassis with variable track width, designed to provide increased load-bearing capacity and enhanced stability. 

This configuration is particularly beneficial when operating with dual-head systems and a duplex carousel for drill rods and casings on board. This setup is especially suited to demanding applications such as anchor/tieback installation for deep excavation, typically used with soldier pile walls in densely built urban environments. The duplex carousel—available exclusively on the MC 28 HD—enables fully automated handling of up to nine pairs of rods and casings. This is further enhanced by the Comacchio radio remote control system, which allows a single operator to manage all drilling and rod handling functions. The machine can also be equipped with single-head systems or high-performance hydraulic drifters. Thanks to the Comacchio “quick” dual-head system, conversion between double-head and single-head configurations is fast and straightforward, ensuring maximum flexibility across different operating conditions.
