MC 22 A

The MC 22A is an evolution of Comacchio’s historic MC 22 model, introducing the innovative duplex carousel for automated handling of drill rods and casings. 

While covering the same range of applications and movements as the MC 22, the MC 22A is particularly well suited to anchor installation using dual-head drilling systems. The duplex carousel can accommodate rods and casings of different diameters and lengths, holding up to 10 rods and 9 casings. Its universal gripping system requires no modifications when switching between diameters, simplifying operations and saving time. Combined with the Comacchio radio control system, which integrates all machine and carousel functions, a single operator can manage both drilling operations and the automated handling of the drilling equipment. The flexibility provided by Comacchio’s patented mast articulation, together with the ability to handle rods and casings directly from the machine, allows operators to work on boreholes in hard-to-reach locations without the need for additional equipment or assistants.
