The Comacchio GEO line includes a complete range of water well and geothermal drilling rigs engineered for geothermal borehole drilling, water well construction and ground source heat pump (GSHP) installations. The single-head range consists of versatile drilling rig models, from compact units designed for restricted-access urban job sites and residential geothermal projects, to heavy-duty drilling rigs with up to 30 tonnes of pull-up capacity for deep borehole drilling applications.
Designed as multipurpose drilling rigs for geothermal and water well contractors, Comacchio GEO rigs provide high flexibility across a wide range of drilling applications and ground conditions. Thanks to advanced modular hydraulic systems and customizable drilling configurations, the rigs can be equipped for the most commonly used geothermal and water well drilling methods, including rotary drilling with direct air flushing, water flushing or mud flushing, reverse circulation mud drilling, and rotary-percussive drilling with down-the-hole hammer (DTH drilling). To improve productivity and operator safety, Comacchio offers a wide selection of automated and semi-automated rod handling systems designed to reduce manual handling during drilling operations.
