The Comacchio MC-E drilling attachments are designed to transform standard excavators into versatile drilling platforms offering extended reach and maximum flexibility while operating in challenging environments, where ground conditions, limited bearing capacity, or confined spaces prevent the use of conventional crawler-mounted drilling rigs.
Typical applications include geotechnical anchoring, soil retention systems and rock bolting. The MC-E drilling attachments are mounted directly on the excavator's third boom. By combining the excavator boom movements with either a slewing ring or the patented Comacchio mast joint support, the system ensures fast and precise positioning and enables drilling above, below, and beyond the capabilities of many conventional drilling rigs. The MC-E line offers multiple feed length and retract force options to suit different drilling applications and carrier sizes. The MC-E drill attachments can be equipped with a comprehensive selection of rotary heads, top hammers and hydraulic drifters, supporting both rotary and rotary-percussive drilling systems across a broad range of ground conditions. All drilling and setup functions are managed through the Comacchio radio remote control system, ensuring maximum visibility and positioning flexibility for the operator, while significantly enhancing operational efficiency, productivity, and jobsite safety.
